Mihalis Boutaris, Athroa’s director, commented: “Athroa is eager to work with early-stage ventures with truly innovative solutions.  We bring funding, domain, and industry expertise, as well as the unique opportunity to utilize the Greek market as a test-bed for market validation.

Aristos Doxiadis, partner at Big Pi Ventures, said in a statement: “In Greece, we have extraordinary talent and a vast and super-capable research community. Our continuous investment and support in Athroa do not only come in order to profit from the commercialization of Greek patents, but also in order to create a platform for researchers to take their work further from the lab, create IP and monetize it in a global market“.
