Marco Veremis was the first investor in Workable, while Openfund was the second and participated in subsequent fundraising events.

In 2017 alone, over 100 million users made digital purchases worth more than $210 million.

Marco was co-founder and CEO before stepping in the position of chairman and joining Big Pi as Partner.

Beat

Formerly known as TaxiBeat allow passengers to see the exact location of nearby taxis, to hail one with the touch of a button. As a true marketplace, Beat allows passengers and drivers to leave feedback about their experience.

Founded in 2011, was first financed by Openfund. Beat was acquired by Daimler-Benz in 2017 with a view to enrich their MyTaxi offerings and expand into markets more suitable to Beat’s business model. Beat is the fastest growing P2P ridesharing provider in South America.

Vidyo

Initially founded as Layered Media, Vidyo was founded in 2005 and until 2018 has raised over $100m. It’s technological assets have been productized in the form of standalone appliances, cloud offerings and even power solutions such as Google Hangouts and Nintendo Wii U’s video-chat.

Alex Eleftheriadis co-founded the company and still holds the position of Chief Scientist.

QCell

QCELL innovates in spectral imaging. Particularly the company has invented and developed the first ever 5MP-video spectral camera, operating on mobile phones and tablets: the inSPECT camera. In company’s products, the real time snapshot spectral imaging is combined with embedded Artificial Intelligence algorithms to enable the display of spectral, thematic and diagnostic maps at video rates! QCELL further advances the unique capabilities of hyperspectral imaging, while, at the same time, converting this high-end, tabletop technology to a handheld device, thus opening new markets. Based on the intelligent spectroscopy (inSPECT) camera platform, the company offers a product family with unique features that are intended to address unmet market needs.

IFC’s investment will help the company extend its footprint in the Greek insurance market, broaden its offerings of innovative, by-the-day micro insurance products, and accelerate its international expansion across emerging markets, such as Romania and Turkey.

Bruno Bolsens was co-founder and CTO at the company before moving to oversee the integration of the Snox AGV technology within the Grenzebach Group.

The latest addition to the family is balenaFin, a very powerful hardware board catering to IoT system makers.

Today more than 22,000 students in 120 international & private/state schools across 17 countries use 100mentors to engage their students into designing their own learning journeys through live, interactive class video.

Electromagnetic simulation is among the most demanding software processes today. With uses ranging from touch screens to chip design to power transmission design, simulation is critical for reducing cost and time-to-market cycles. At the same time, state-of-the-art solutions are limiting themselves to previous generation algorithms and infrastructure.

Fieldscale brings simulation tasks to the cloud era. Using new, scalable implementations of classic algorithms it is able to parallelize to a level that was previously unattainable. This results to speed increases of 10x or more while benefitting from reduced costs.
