Once a month, our partner and co-Chair of SEV’s Innovation Committee, Marco Veremis hosts innovative Greeks, who excel by achieving increasingly higher goals. His guests unfold their stories and share with us their exciting journey, experiences gathered along the way, but also their recipe for success.

Kostas Mallios immigrated with his family to America when he was 9 years old and worked in the family pizzeria. When he was 25, he started working at Microsoft. He stayed for 16 years and watched the company transform completely.

Every year he attends the TED Conference and Burning Man, a festival of 70,000 people where money is irrelevant and everyone is, sort of, equal. He likes to travel a lot to meet colleagues and be inspired.

In conversation with Marco Veremis, they talk about his current position as Corporate VP at Applied Materials, the new cold war between China and the Western world, as well as the importance of chips for modern society.

We’d like to thank Microsoft for its support in producing the Innovative Greeks Talks series.
