Big Pi Growth leads Series B investment into August Robotics

Big Pi Team ·

We are thrilled to have led August Robotics’ $30m Series B equity financing.

August Robotics has been building and operating autonomous robot fleets for precision construction and industrial workflows since 2017. Its modular robotics platform combines project plan ingestion, exact on-site localization, autonomous task execution, fleet-level co-ordination and patented navigation, enabling specialist robots to complete critical tasks faster, with high accuracy, and alleviating manual labor scarcity – all based on in-house R&D.

The company’s latest category-leading robot is now addressing one of the most urgent infrastructure bottlenecks globally: AI data center construction. These robot fleets, launched in partnership with the DEWALT brand of Stanley Black & Decker, automate high-precision downward drilling across large pre-fabricated construction sites, with deployments in the US and EU already demonstrating high customer ROI – massively accelerating and cost-optimizing builds.

The new funding will support August Robotics’ scale-up across its seven global hubs, including manufacturing, robot deployment, field operations, software, AI-enabled fleet management – as well as the ongoing development of adjacent robot products to serve its customers in the construction, exhibition and infrastructure sectors.

This second investment out of our Growth fund has a strong Greek nexus. Founder Alex Wyatt has Greek family roots from Kastellorizo, and Athens has been earmarked to become August Robotics’ second continental European hub after Düsseldorf. The Athens hub will focus on customer service, robot maintenance, robot deployment and field engineering across a large part of EMEA – a testament to the growing credibility of Greece as an emerging tech hub in its immediate region.

We are proud to support Alex and the August Robotics team (alongside a truly global syndicate of new and existing institutional investors across US, EU and APAC, consisting of Blackbird, Skip Capital, GS Futures and Grok Ventures among others) working toward a future where autonomous robot fleets help accelerate and democratize the build of physical infrastructure in the AI era globally, while improving working conditions for residual manual labor.
