Once a month, our partner and co-Chair of SEV’s Innovation Committee, Marco Veremis hosts innovative Greeks, who excel by achieving increasingly higher goals. His guests unfold their stories and share with us their exciting journey, experiences gathered along the way, but also their recipe for success.

In this 8th episode, Marco Veremis interviews Chris Bountra, Professor of Translational Medicine at the University of Oxford, and deals with how medicine starts from the laboratory until it reaches the patients.

Chris Bountra talks about innovation in Medicine and climate change, as he believes that the challenges we face are universal. Only through partnerships, humanity can move forward quickly and provide solutions to critical problems, such as chronic diseases and climate change.

He also analyzes how technology has helped medicine make leaps of progress. At the same time, he explains why it is so difficult to deal with diseases shaped both by people’s genetic predisposition as well as the environment in which we live.
