Concentrations of air pollutants in indoor spaces are usually 4-10x higher than the outdoors.  This becomes especially problematic in urban areas as 97% of people living there spend more than 90% of their time indoors. Photocatalysis has been proved to be one of the most promising processes for the removal of primary noxious inorganic and organic air pollutants, such as CO, NOx, O3, aldehydes, and BTEX, as well as inactivation of pathogens such as e-Coli, Klebsiella Pneumonia, and Staphylococcus.

PCNano Materials produces paint additives which, under the influence of solar or indoor lighting, improve air quality. The materials’ properties are ideal for indoor spaces such as hotels, convention centers, meeting and lecture halls, as well as schools. They may additionally support the disinfection from bacteria, viruses, phages, etc., at health-sensitive areas such as sewage treatment plants, health Centers, hospitals, restaurants or retirement homes.

Extensive tests by independent Greek and international bodies have shown enhanced de-pollution effects and strong disinfection properties.
